Thank You Lord – A Prayer for the Day

by Christine Sine

Thank you Lord.001I am working on a new set of prayer cards that will provide prayers for different times of the day – morning and night plus three times to pause and reflect throughout the day. The prayer above is one that I have written specifically for this. I plan to add a simple reflection on the back of each card. There will be 10 prayer cards in the set which gives some choice for which ones to use on any specific day.

I hope to have these ready by the end of September. Any suggestions on which prayers to include is appreciated as well as other thoughts or comments you might have on this project.

I, esp, <3 the semi-famous prayer of St Francis (of Assisi, not the other St Francis, an evangelical heavy hitter of the early 80s).

"Make me an instrument of Your peace…"

Steve that is one of my favourites too but for copyright reasons we will stick to prayers we have written and photos we have taken.

So excited to hear you are creating a new set of prayer cards for morning, evening, and pauses throughout the day. Trying to practice the ideas you gave recently for “meditative moments.” I especially love the lines in this prayer starting with “I am a pen in your hand . . .” — it was perfect this morning as I sit down to finish a revision of my latest novel, which I promised my editor by the end of this month. Thanks for this prayer, Christine! I’ll be remembering it often when I sit down to begin my writing day.

My bad, I had presumed that to have been in the public domain?

Nothing wrong Steve – yes we do use prayers from public domain but for the series that we produce much prefer to use original prayers.
