A Prayer for the People of the Philippines

God be with those who have lost family and friends in the Philippines,
Comfort them, protect the vulnerable,
have mercy on them as they grieve,
Provide for them as they rebuild.
God be with those who respond to the cries for help.
Give them strength and courage as they work,
Surround them with peace, guide them through the rubble,
lead them to those who are trapped.
God be with those who co-ordinate relief efforts.
Give them wisdom and direction as they plan,
Help them distribute relief supplies justly,
keep them in the midst of pain and suffering.
God have mercy,
Christ have mercy,
God have mercy.
