Today I am struggling with a heavy heart. The bombings today in Saudi Arabia, yesterday in Baghdad, and recently in Istanbul, and Pakistan, as well as the killings in Florida weigh heavily on my mind. My soul is weeping, my heart is bleeding. God keeps prompting me to pray for peace. Will you join me in praying for peace and a cessation of violence in our world?

Dear Christine. I hear you and often have my heart broken for the world. Here is a poem I wrote after the Paris attacks in 2015. Praying with you. Thank you for your beautiful prayer and heart for others.
DON’T FORGET
Don’t forget,
What is the enemy after, in the end?
Our faith.
And if our faith can falter,
then we’ve lost the upper hand.
Though hearts break around us,
and lives are abruptly shortened;
we must, with all the faith we can muster,
draw courage again.
We must live now for those who can’t.
And say to the darkness;
and the hurting parties,
broken on each side.
‘We know the real enemy of our souls.
Lurks at the ready,
waiting to seize entry.
But we won’t back down.
And we may grieve, but only for a moment.
For in the end, faith is our only solution.
And along with hope and love,
shall remain standing.’

“And now these three remain: Faith, Hope and Love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Cor 13:13
Thanks Ana Lisa – a beautiful and heartbreaking prayer for a heartbreaking situation. Imagine how God grieves over these horrible events too.
With you, Madre… With you… Heart breaking… Dona Nobis Pacem… Grant Us Peace…
Amen
