Unemployment as a Spiritual Practice

I am now back from Australia and as you can imagine the posts for my series on What is a Spiritual Practice have been mounting up while I have had limited internet access and less time to focus on such things.  Thanks for your patience and for your prayers during this challenging season.

If you want to talk about a situation that really puts you in touch with yourself and with God, try unemployment. As a married American male, this is a particularly trying circumstance.

However, unemployment has its benefits. If you can put yourself in the right frame of mind, joblessness can be a blessing. Allow me to enumerate and elaborate.  Read the entire article
