MOMENTUM CONTINUES TO BUILD: With just a few days to go, Earth Hour continues to gain support in cities, with government leaders and celebrities, in the media, and on social networking sites.

MORE ICONS ANNOUNCE THEY’LL GO DARK: The Pyramids in Egypt, the Acropolis in Athens, the Broadway Theater District, the Space Needle in Seattle, and the Chrysler Building in New York have come on board over the past few days.

TUNE IN TO LARRY KING LIVE: Actor and Earth Hour USA Ambassador Edward Norton will talk with Larry King about Earth Hour this Wednesday, March 25th at 9 pm ET on CNN. Don’t miss it!

I am surprised Seattle’s name is not there.I am going to do it because I believe in it .I will encourage school kids for saturday.

Veena,
I did hear that the Space Needle was supposed to be turning out the lights but then I heard that last year too and nothing happened. Anyhow we can but wait and see. I think that this is a great way to make us aware of our use of electricity.

Dave you are right – evangelical Christians are only just becoming aware of the importance of environmental issues but I find that on the whole they do not come alongside secular initiatives like this which I think is a shame – I think that we should take every opportunity to stand united with those that care for our world
