We just received this email from our friend Tomas Yacino who heads up the Red del Camino Network a network of churches in the Caribbean and Latin America that seeks to accomplish God’s kingdom purposes. If you are able to support them in their time of need it would be much appreciated.
Dear Friends and Supporters of the Red del Camino Network, partners of Del Camino Connection (NFP)Last week the devastating earthquake that shook Costa Rica, left thousands of people in need of shelter, basic food, water and care as home were destroyed, or seriously damaged and the infrastructure including roadways to and from the region around the Poas volcano were wiped out. In the center of it all was Comunidad Cristiana Shalom (CCS) a key network church in the town of Fraijanes, Alajuela that is pastored by Roy Soto. The community of faith representing over 800 members was hit hard with major losses to home and property but in spite of their suffering has spearheaded rescue, relief and rebuilding efforts as a true sign of the Kingdom among us. Please follow this link to the most recent update on the events surrounding this tragic natural disaster and join us in giving our support to the sacrificial efforts of this church and the Costa Rican network movement as it works hard to bring hope to those who are lost and hurting. The site is set up with a simple on line giving page which will help you securely contribute your tax deductible donation by check , electronic transfer or credit card to this effort. Del Camino Connection will channel all donation to the special account created in the Red del Camino network account in CR.Thank you for walking the road together with us in these challenging times… Your presence and solidarity with us is life giving…Peace in Christ,Tomas
